Cross Border Travel Bosnia Car Hire

The Question we get asked a lot , can I take the car from Bosnia to another country for a few days?
Simple answer is YES!

Cross border travel is allowed by many of our suppliers. We have broken down each supplier what countries you are allowed to go to and the associated fees.

Cross border travel might be allowed with prior authorization and proper documentation. Further driving restrictions and charges may apply. Please check at the rental desk for more details.

Cross border travel is allowed to all countries except Kosovo. For more details, please check with supplier at the rental desk.

Cross border travel is allowed to all European Countries (EU) and Serbia and an additional charge of EUR 5 per day up to a maximum charge of EUR 50 per rental will apply.
For cross border travel to Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro an additional charge of EUR 10 per day up to a maximum charge of EUR 100 per rental will apply.

Cross border travel is allowed to Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Hungary and Western European Countries. For cross border travel arrangements are to be made with counter the at time of rental.
EUR 100 + tax will be applicable as Green card/cross border fee will be applicable.

Cross border travel is not allowed to Kosovo, Turkey and Greece.

For taking the rented vehicle on ferry a charge of EUR 10 per rental will apply.

Cross border travel is allowed only on request and with prior approval from the rental company. All the rented vehicles are allowed to cross the border to all countries. An additional charge of EUR 30 + VAT per rental will apply.

Cross border travel to Kosov is not allowed.

You must notify the Supplier that you’re planning to drive the rental vehicle across the border when you pick up the vehicle.

Other Supplier cross-bordering restrictions on car classes as well as makes and models may apply. For details, please contact us directly or enquire with the Supplier when picking up the vehicle.

You must pay a Cross-Bordering Fee of €45.

In case of offence against Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions all protections lose their validity.

Crossing the border is allowed into the following countries/areas:

You need written permission from the Supplier prior to departure in order to be allowed to drive the rental vehicle into another country.

Permission must be requested from the Supplier at least 7 working days before your rental is due to begin.

You must pay a Cross-Bordering Fee of €50–75.

Green Card Insurance is included in the Cross-Bordering Fee.
